Recap of the Last Four Years - 2016-07-28
Modeling house prices.
Vacation. Four years later. I’ve meant to develop this blog with more content for some time, but a computer crash and life got in the way. I have been doing a lot of interesting things during this time. In 2013 I started modeling house prices in Sweden, first with Gaussian Processes but switched to regularized least squares using basis functions instead since 32GB of internal memory is not enough for GP in this application. The result of the calculations is aesthetically pleasing:
The code is available on Bitbucket.
I have also switched my focus from Python to Scala where most development is circulating around web development concepts.
